CMW meets on the campus of Southern Adventist University, located in Collegedale, a small town just east of Chattanooga, TN. The town and the beautiful SAU campus nestle in a small valley separated from Chattanooga by White Oak Mountain Ridge. Even amid the academic buildings, the rural feeling of the valley is calm and peaceful. The little town of Collegedale exists primarily because of the university. There is a small shopping plaza with a grocery store, a post office and a few other shops, in addition to the elegant university structures. Collegedale is also home for the McKee Foods Corporation, makers of Little Debbie Snack Cakes. Tantalizing aromas of fudge brownies or oatmeal cookies float on the evening air. |
Even though the campus itself feels isolated, with the city of Chattanooga just over the ridge, all the customary city services are easily accessible. Motels, restaurants, a major shopping center, the Chattanooga airport and Interstate 75 are all only minutes away

Chamber Music Weekend takes place mostly in the music building, Mabel Wood Hall. This beautiful facility is well suited to the needs of chamber groups, and is provided by the SAU School of Music at no cost to CMW participants. While we do meet on a Christian campus, Chamber Music Weekend is open to everyone, and we make every effort to help you feel comfortable so you can enjoy your time with us. We do hope you will join us. |
