Comfortable rooms are often available at the SAU conference center for $35 plus tax per night, double occupancy. For exact pricing and reservations call (423) 236-2529.
There are a number of motels in the surrounding area along I-75. The nearby Exits 5, 7, and 11 all have motels. See a partial list below. We make no recommendations, but we hope the list will be a help to you as you plan your weekend.
SAU Conference Center
Three group meals are provided as part of the weekend. For other meals-- on campus, there is the University Cafeteria and the Village Market Deli. And just on the other side of White Oak Ridge there are many places to eat at Four Corners and in nearby Ooltewah, as well as along I-75.
Because SAU reflects the health-conscious attitudes of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, the campus is tobacco and alcohol free, and meals served on campus are vegetarian. Coffee and other caffeine drinks are not generally available on campus, so coffee lovers may wish to bring their own instant and a mug.
Some Local Motels (within about 20 minutes of Collegedale)
SAU has arrangements with many of these motels for special discount rates if you tell them you are in town visiting Southern Adventist University. Click the link above for SAU's list of motels along with their "1-800" phone numbers.
